Hey people! I know bios are usually in the 3rd person, but that's kinda dumb since I'm the one writing this.
I've been playing guitar and writing my own songs for about 12 years now. I started out making horrible little pop punk songs on my very affordable Squier stratocaster. My friends and I started band after band that just wanted to be Blink-182, eventually forming Thirdbridge, a Rx-Bandits/Thrice fusion that squeezed out an E.P. before the eventual college split.
Since I wasn't in a band in college, I did what every white boy named Chad does and honed my acoustic guitar skills. However, my fervor for pop-punk and hot licks seeped into my writing and saved me from becoming the 3-chord bore that so many acoustic musicians fall victim to. I also developed my voice and composition skills in the acappella group "In The Buff"--or as we called it, "A drinking group with a singing problem." It was the most fun I've ever had.
All that music and attention-whoring led to my own style of comedic rock, deeply inspired by the likes of Tenacious D, Thrice, Say Anything, Blink-182, and Nickelback (not a typo).
Since graduating college, I've been performing in comedy clubs, theaters, and on youtube. I've been seen on ESPN, Reddit, and randomly opened for Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block. Even though I post some of my originals on youtube, the main thing I'm known for is the One Minute Mashup, where I take 20-25 songs and cram them into a minute.
Thanks for checking me out, and congratulations on reading to the bottom of this bio! Kisses,
Chad
