John Mailander's Forecast - Look Closer Album Release Show

Show Description:

Forecast is a Nashville-based project led by multi-instrumentalist and composer John Mailander (Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Billy Strings, Joy Williams). Originally assembled to perform the music of John’s 2019 solo album of the same name, the group has since become a platform for exploring new compositions, singular collaborations, and collective improvisation. Incorporating elements of jazz, rock, folk, bluegrass, and avant-garde music, their sound defies genre while nodding to musical influences past and present.
Their newest album, Look Closer, was recorded in July, 2020, live in one room, masked, socially distanced and musically close. Join the band as they debut the album start to finish at their home venue, The 5 Spot!
John Mailander's Forecast is: John Mailander (Fiddle, Keys), Ethan Jodziewicz (Bass), Chris Lippincott (Pedal Steel Guitar/Keys), Mark Raudabaugh (Drums), Jake Stargel (Guitar), and David Williford (Tenor Saxophone/Bass Clarinet). Featuring guest vocalists Kristina Train and Maya De Vitry
