“For a long time now Australian artists have been struggling to represent the Urban sound in Australia, I think because basically it was about copying U.S. artists, and it hasn’t worked. Now there is a new breed who are taking this sound and making it their own, much like is happening in the U.K. at the moment with artists like Rizzle Kids & Tinie Tempah. Sammy G is one of those fresh new Aussie artists on the Urban scene and a great representative of the new-style talent we have in Australia. The Edge is proud to play her music. Predicting big hits and big things to come...”

Hello Reader/Friend - I was born in the Philippines and later raised in Sydney. At the age of 8 both My parents and sister passed away leaving me to fend for myself under the care of DOCS (Department Of Community Services)
I spent my entire teen years living in refuges and took to writing as a way to express my immense pain and anger. Notable Australian rappers knew talent when they saw it and took me under their wing to mentor my unique lyrical style and flow.
Supported International acts The Outlawz, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Savage as well as an array of high profile local artists including Stan Walker, Jessica Mauboy, and secured a highly coveted spot at the annual 2012 Sydney Mardi Gra at Fox Studio’s alongside Kylie Minogue, Sneaky Sound System and Chicane
