Artist Bio
Genise Ruidiaz is Cuban-American, born and raised in Miami, Florida. She trained at one of the most renowned studios in South Florida; “Dance Attack.” There she studied for 15 years all genres of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acrobatics, contortion and many more. Genise was a competitive dancer her entire life, and has won numerous National Champion titles and awards.
In addition, Genise attended performing arts magnet schools throughout her school years. During high school, at the age of 16, Genise was already dancing professionally. She performed with many Latin and American artists such as P. Diddy, Olga Tanon, Ashlee Simpson, and Christian Castro as well as working industrial shows for clients such as Speedo and Kelloggs.
After graduating from high school, Genise headed west to pursue her dance dreams. At age 18, she auditioned for Cirque du Soleil, and was cast in their production of "LOVE" at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. Following her year in "LOVE", she appeared in America’s Got Talent’s Live show at the Planet Hollywood. While Genise was busy with shows, she continued doing various jobs around Las Vegas. However, not yet 21, Genise was finding it harder to find work in Las Vegas. She decided it was the best time to move to Los Angeles, California.
During her first four months in LA, Genise traveled around the US doing several jobs. In Miami, Florida she shot a music video for a Latin artist by the name of Luis Fonsi in which she was the principle dancer. In addition, she traveled to Las Vegas for the Viva Elvis Premiere Show. While back in LA, Genise also had the opportunity to work on the “Hellcats” pilot as a cheerleader. Genise then booked a job that took her out of the country for six months to live in Shanghai, China. Genise was one of ten dancers representing the USA at the World Expo. While working in China, Genise appeared in numerous different industrials such as GE and Wrigley’s “Doublemint.” Genise was able to travel to different cities throughout China representing the US and dance.
Genise, who is now 22 and back in the USA, has been happily working and training. Since her return, she has worked on a Samsung Industrial as well as Arbonne Industrial. Genise also appeared in the Glee/Chevy Superbowl Commercial as a contortionist, and was subsequently cast to appear in an episode of Glee. Genise has appeared on Dancing with the Stars featuring Wayne Brady Directed and Choreographed by Kevin and Marcel Wilson. As well as being in the new Beyonce "Who run the world (GIRLS) music video. Genise still lives in LA and will continue pursuing her dreams.
