Artist Bio
Electrically-charged and inspired by all-things futuristic, Jonathan Miller is an electro-pop artist from Portland, OR. He began writing lyrics when he was 13 years old. Flash forward over 800 songs later, the 24 year old singer/songwriter has performed at legendary Carnegie Hall with his high school choir, released SEVEN full-length music videos, and has become the #1 EDM Artist in the Pacific Northwest on Reverbnation.com.
Miller's 9-Track Electro-Pop record, "The Space Between," showcases Miller's talent as a songwriter and singer. Inspired by the likes of Britney Spears, Calvin Harris, Avicii, and K-Pop bands TVXQ, SHINee and Girls' Generation, "The Space Between" combines multiple genres: Dubstep, Electronic, and old-fashioned Pop are prevalent throughout the entire album. The record was produced by Peter Roberts (LaToya Jackson, G. E. M., Randy Jackson) in Studio City, CA.
After struggling with personal loss, multiple deaths, and financial struggles, Jonathan's latest LP, "5" was recorded in his hometown and is slated for release on June 21st, 2016. "5" featured 14 songs and is "the most personal song I've ever written." The first single, "War With Love," quickly became Miller's best-selling single to date. EDM and R&B touches appear throughout the album from start to finish. From emotional highs and lows the album truly showcases Miller's gift as a songwriter and entertainer.
Expanding his repertoire with "The Space Between," and capitalizing on his multi-linguistic abilities, Jonathan has begun to break into the J-Pop scene with his debut Japanese song "Marionette." Growing up with Japanese exchange students every summer, Jonathan has an exceptionally high respect for Asian culture. A conversationalist in the Japanese language, Miller hopes to continue writing and recording music in both English and Japanese in the future.
Known for his witty lyrics, angst-filled breakup songs, and party anthems, Miller also is an avid supporter of LGBT rights. As an openly gay man, himself, he understands the struggles of the LGBT community and writes about equality frequently in his music. "Tonight," a song on "The Space Between," is available on Miller's official ReverbNation page as a charity download in which 50% of the proceeds go to Keep A Child Alive to help find a cure for AIDS.
