Born, Linda Marie Rodrigo, July 11, 1966, in New York, N.Y., Linda Noyes, (pronounced “noise”), is an American Indie, solo, Pop-Rock-Soul musician, singer-songwriter, recording artist, composer, author, arranger, producer, publisher, voice-over artist, and model. According to family, Linda began singing Francis Lai’s, “Theme From A Man and A Woman” at age two, becoming so enthralled with the song, she would chase others down for singing it. She later fell in love with a waltz her older sister, (New York Visual Artist, Nancy Rodrigo), would practice, leading her to study classical piano just to learn it. At eight years old; Linda composed, arranged, and performed her first original composition, at a school musical recital. Three years later the sisters would perform in New York City’s, Central Park with her sister on guitar/lead vocals and Linda singing harmony. Although a move to Hollywood, Florida was a culture shock, she continued playing, composing, and singing. At age nineteen she joined musical forces with former United Artists Recording Artist, Roy Smith, forming Pop / R&B Duo, “Mirror, Mirror”.
In the spring of 1988 the boy/girl duo gained local popularity after a live performance and interview, along side Top 40 Pop Girl Trio, Company B., on a late night variety show called “Way Off Broadway”, aired on South Florida Cable Network Channel 33. A few months later the duo’s manager booked them to perform up the southeastern U.S. Coast to Augusta, Georgia, where they stirred the interest of Soul music Legend, James Brown and attorney, Buddy Dallas, who had intended to sign them under Mr. Brown’s label with Scotti Bros. Records just prior to unforeseen circumstances. One year later Linda was contracted to play and sing back up for major recording artists, John Anderson and Chuck Leavell, in Albany, Georgia for The Annual National Celebrity Quail Association in her manager’s seven-piece band.
Ms. Noyes’s musical works have been awarded by Billboard Magazine, and aired for seven consecutive months during the launch of The Home Shopping Network Television Station, Channel 69 and Clear Channel Miami Radio Station, Y100/ (WHYI) Weekday Morning Show Television Simul- cast with radio personalities, Sonny Fox and Footy, for which it was chosen by HSN and Y100 producers to be the morning show simulcast theme song. Linda has written, produced, performed, and recorded parodies for Clear Channel’s WHYI, aired to advertise Footy’s Fourth Annual Wing Ding Fundraiser to help raise money for a community drug abuse treatment/prevention program. She volunteers her musical talents for numerous charitable benefits, schools, nursing homes, churches, mayors and commissioners events.
