Artist Bio

Mykis began vocal lessons at the age of 10.  She has studied with Michael Jackson’s voice teacher, professional opera singers, broadway artists and music directors, and Pop teachers as well.  In highschool and her early college years,  Mykis studied acting at PACE University and Rutger’s Summer Acting Conservatory.  She performed in various school and summer camp shows.  Mykis has studied Dance with renouned choreographers, including Janet Jackson’s choreographer. In 2009, Mykis began writing and recording her own music.  In 2010, Mykis launched her Record Company, Mykis Records.  She began releasing Pop music on iTunes. In 2013, one of Mykis’s early songs was featured in an issuu magazine article. In 2013, Mykis also released her first music video, “Dancing With The Boys.  From 2011-2014, Mykis studied Music at Hunter College. She was then coached by the Head of the Opera Association Of New York City.  Mykis received her music minor in 2014. In 2014, “Love Me Now” was #43 on the artofthemix.com iTunes Charts. 
After College, Mykis began singing on her church worship team in Lakewood, New Jersey (2015-2019).  At church, she performed with rock guitarist, Brian Fallon.  Along her journey, many fellow singers have asked Mykis for instruction and received coaching from her. In 2016, she performed with Jersey Shore Worship Choir, led by 90’s Gospel charting singer, Nancey Jackson Johnson.  In 2018, Mykis attended the Brooklyn Tabernacle Music Conference and sang on stage with the Grammy Award winning Choir.
Mykis continues to release music under her record company, Mykis Records.  She has released Pop, Dance, Rock, and Hiphop/ Rnb over the years.  Her new song, “Fire” was recently released on 07/07/19.  This year she sang with Gospel Chart topper and Grammy Winner, Donnie McClurkin as well as charting singer, Nancey Jackson Johnson at Jersey Shore Worship’s Choir Concert in September 2019.  Mykis has also become a member of the New Jersey Jazz Society. Mykis is currently a member of Jersey Shore Worship Choir.  Mykis also is currently a member of the Dove Awards Choir. Mykis sang at Carnegie Hall at the GMA Dove Awards 50th Anniversary Concert on February 15th 2020.  The Choir was directed by Jeff Bumgardner.  At this concert, she sang backup for Natalie Grant, Mark Lowry, Russ Taff, Hezekiah Walker, and Danny Gokey.  At the same show, Mykis sang backup for Donnie McClurkin for the second time as part of a choir.  Mykis is a member of the Gospel Music Association.
