Ronan Scolard is a composer and producer from Dublin, Ireland. Ronan is lead vocalist of 5-time Billboard World Artist of the year, Celtic Thunder, having joined the group in 2023.
As a Producer and touring musician Ronan has travelled the world over, writing for and performing with other groups and artists such as Adele, Celtic Woman, Riverdance, The Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Utah and Colorado Symphony Orchestras, Mark Feehily, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Wallis Bird and Mairéad Carlin, among others. Ronan has performed in a variety of settings, including Red Rocks Amphitheater, on The Ellen DeGeneres
TV Show, in Carnegie Hall, and in the Royal Albert Hall.
As a Composer Ronan worked extensively on London's film music circuit for a number of years, working in Abbey Road Studios and AIR Studios Lyndhurst alongside industry-leading figures like Thomas Newman, Hans Zimmer, Daniel Pemberton, Max Richter, Alan Menken, Conrad Pope and David Arnold. Ronan currently works as a film composer and
sound designer for visual media.
Ronan is also the Operations Director for the European Recording Orchestra (ERO). The ERO is a commercial session orchestra based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and records dozens of film and TV projects, as well as contemporary classical music, per year. Ronan is also the Director of Admissions for the European Academy of Fine Arts, and is a member of faculty specialising in Composition & Orchestration at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe (FSAE). FSAE offers world-class programmes in writing music for visual media, and
was listed in the Hollywood Reporter's Top 20 Music Schools in the World in 2024.
Ronan studied Classical Music at University College Dublin, obtained a postgraduate degree in Music Technology from Trinity College Dublin, and holds a Masters in Composition
from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
