Artist Bio

The New Velvet is a band consisting of four friends who've been playing and performing together since high school. The band consists of Dustin Paul (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Ben Antelis (Drums/Vocals), Robby Tal (Guitar/Keys/Vocals), and Sheep (Bass/Keys/Vocals).

Their self-titled album, released in September 2011, received attention from popular industry websites such as Kingsofar.com, Sonicscoop, Gobbler, Twist Magazine, and UltimateEarsPresents and Paiste.com

The New Velvet have been touring around the US sharing the bill with artists such as Natasha Bedingfield, Plain White T's, Brand New, Talib Kweli, J. Cole, Say Anything and many more. They have also played festivals such as The Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands, RutgersFest, State Fairs and other colleges and festivals.

In December of 2011 the band was asked by international clothing brand Ecko Unltd. to perform at their annual corporate event in NYC with Chiddy Bang; In addition, the band was flown to The Ukraine to give a special performance at a private Ecko Unltd event.

During the summer of 2012, the band had a Billboard on the NJ Turnpike to let the world know that TNV has arrived.

Recently, the band has spent time collaborating with various world-famous YouTube artists such as Alyssa Bernal, Esmee Denters, and Savannah Outen for a series of live in-studio gacoustic videos. The videos have already reached over 2,000,000 views. In addition, the band prides itself in their home-grown Recording/Production/Videography of their live Youtube videos that include covers of popular songs and more importantly their original material.

June 2013.The band has been involved in various corporate events and performances such as Bloomingdales Summer Solstice store-wide event held in magnificent 3rd avenue location in NYC. In addition, the band has been on the road performing around the country at camps hosted by the "Camplified" Tour, sponsored by Primary Wave, Blue Microphones,Cartoon Network, Vitacoco, Roland Corporation, High Sierra and Scholastic Inc.

Using the knowledge and experience they have acquired from years of playing alongside national acts, recording and traveling together, and being a self-contained writing team, TNV continually release new content that creates a buzz on all social media platforms.

With their dreamy pop sound, lush four-part harmonies, and chest-pumping grooves, they birth songs that induce feelings of hope, love, and heartache. But it's really more than that; they do it all Velvet style, with unique lyrics and melodies that all #Velveters know and love.
