Artist Bio
I’m Kelli Jones. I’m the daughter. I’m 14 and I grew up watching my mom and aunts sing in their band Mulberry Lane. I always knew I wanted to be a singer. When I was little, I used to take naps in my mom’s guitar case. Now I’m sharing the stage with her, singing and playing. I can hear harmony to any song - it’s in my blood. Working with my mom is crazy and fun. We share a dream.
I’m Jaymie Jones. I’m the mom. I’ve been writing songs, playing guitar and singing my entire life. First with my 3 sisters in Mulberry Lane, then as a solo, and now as a duo with Kelli. I didn’t plan this duo, it just happened. Maybe the sweetest things in life are the unplanned, the blessings, the serendipity.

Together their voices blend like honey, their songs will warm your heart . . .
Two years ago, country artist Jaymie Jones took a brave new path, a solo journey with self-penned songs close to her heart. Leaving the cocoon of her musical family as co-songwriter, co-lead singer and guitarist of the all-sister band, Mulberry Lane, who had unprecedented success on MCA Records in the early 2000ʼs.
All during Jaymieʼs years of touring with her sisters, her daughter, Kelli, was growing up, hanging out at rehearsals, watching her mom and three aunts from the wings of stages all over the world. By the age of 13, Kelli was a theater regular in their hometown of Omaha, garnering nominations for youth awards for musicals both from the Omaha Arts & Entertainment Awards, and Theater Arts Guild.
As Jaymie spent this past summer playing solo shows, Kelli began to harmonize with her mom during rehearsals. Much to their great amusement, the result was an undeniable blend of voices as natural and real as their mother/daughter friendship. Kelli, who turned 14 this summer, began to sing with Jaymie on stage, and a duet was born; the soul and songs of Jaymie, the heart and energy of Kelli.
Grammy winning record produder, Don Gehman, (John Mellencamp, Hootie & the Blowfish, Tracy Chapman, Jason Michael Carroll) immediately recognized the authenticity of their harmonies, paired with the honest beauty of Jaymie’s songs. In August 2011, Don produced 3 tracks with Jaymie and Kelli in LA, assembling some of the best studio musicians in the world: Kenny Aranoff on drums, Tim Pierce on guitars, and Chris Chaney on bass. The results of this session are a fresh, rich, heartland sound that is bound to sweep along country music fans of all ages.
Jaymie’s sister Allie named them Belles & Whistles, after Kelli’s nick name her aunts called her growing up, Kellibell. The mother/daughter duo have performed at Red Sky Music Festival, Septemberfest Musicfest, and The Morning Blend. They will play Chick Singer Night in Milwaukee in February. Recently, Jaymie was nominated by the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards for best country/americana 2011, and Belles & Whistles will be playing at the OEA showcase in November.
