Artist Bio
Born in the South, Colt began his singing career when he was just five years old. “Country music was about the only music I heard,” he says. But even as he grew and was exposed to different types of music, Colt held on to Country. “I just got a passion for it at a young age,” he explains, and he has been singing it ever since. Now he is a fifteen year old aspiring country music star. As an artist, Colt infuses his own style into the well-established genre, taking country music to the next level. He has performed in various venues, festivals, and fairs, the majority of them concentrated in Tennessee (where he currently resides) and in Georgia (his birthplace). Recently, he had the great opportunity to perform live with the NSA choir at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). As of March 2010, Colt is a proud member of the Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association (GCGMA), an organization dedicated to recognizing the talent within lesser-known artists and equip them with the network and support needed to access contests and performances. GCGMA also provides individuals with general publicity promotion through its connection with the North America Country Music Association. Colt recently took the title of "Most Promising Vocalist of the Year" and "Most Promising Entertainer of the Year" at the 2010 GCGMA Awards. In addition to vocal expression, Colt has discovered a keen interest and adeptness in theatrics. He played the leading roles in “Once Upon a Mattress,” “The Music Man,” and “Babes in ToyLand” in a community theatre in Calhoun, Georgia (his hometown). He then ventured into Theatre Production and Co-directed “Seussical the Musical” later on. So far, Colt has had an offer from a record label company, but he remains unsure of the proposal at this time. Due to the uncertainty of the acceptance, the record label’s identity will remain anonymous. With a motto of “If you’re big star bound, let me warn you, it’s a long, hard ride,” Colt Chambers is a living testimony to the difficult path one must take to obtain stardom. In his brief 15 years, he has allowed nothing to hold him back from achieving his goals and will continue to pursue his dreams until he acquires them.
