About Me
Lisa Brooks PhD has remained centered and down to earth despite her immense professional success. She is a Guggenheim Fellow and recipient of the Bancroft Prize for American History and Diplomacy, among many other incredible accomplishments. She received her PhD from Cornell and committed her life to writing about hidden histories in New England while teaching English and American studies. She is passionate about protecting Indigenous places, learning about native animals and plants, and conserving the natural world.
