About Me
While studying in a Ph.D. program at Indiana University, Wil Meya collaborated with linguist, Jan Ulrich, to launch a series of projects in the Dakotas—eventually establishing Lakota Language Consortium (LLC), one of the first large-scale Native American Language projects in the United States. In 2005, he established The Language Conservancy and remains its CEO to this day. Wil has built a number of partnerships with government and education agencies in his efforts to preserve and revitalize Indigenous languages.
