Show Description:
We got a good flight from Chicago to Copenhagen (direct, no less!) so we’ve spent the week in Denmark, eating good chow and wandering around. I played Loppen so many times in the 90’s that they ended up surprising me on stage one night with my very own staff uniform. The Dream Syndicate played there a couple of times since we reunited in 2012 and it’s always a sweaty, wild night. The room is wide and not very deep so you have action going in every direction. Oh, and Christiania lies just outside the front door—it used to be a chance to gather up smokeable goods before hitting the road but they cleaned things up a bit (who would ever have thought the US would have more liberal weed laws than Christiania or even Holland?). So we’ll keep it clean but maybe some aquavit and a diligent search to find an appropriate cover tune for the night.
